According to the Mehr news agency, Colonel Taghi Afrand explained the news and stated: With a complaint from a number of citizens living in the west of Tehran regarding the distribution of counterfeit engine oil in an oil change unit, a team of experts from this unit was sent to investigate the matter. The police official stated: in the investigations carried out, it was determined that the owner of this union unit is selling counterfeit and unauthorized engine oil in the form of one of the reputable brands in his union unit. He added: “After confirming the news and the coordination made by the judicial authority and the officials of the Oil and Rubber Union, the police officers of the places took action to investigate the matter and during the visit of this union unit, the union experts and the relevant union distributed fake engine oil.” Confirmed there. The Deputy Supervisor of Police Capitals stated: After confirming this issue, the owner of this union unit was arrested for distributing counterfeit goods and by the order of the head of Tehran’s 33rd District Court, the union unit was sealed until further notice. Colonel Afrand stated: During the inspection of this oil change, 230 items of counterfeit and illegal oils with an approximate value of 23 million Tomans and a number of sealing machines for engine oil cans were discovered.
